What’s done in the dark will always come out in the light. This phrase is usually understood as a warning that our misdeeds cannot forever be hidden. I recently had a discussion where someone enlightened me to the simple fact that the same can be said of our good deeds. Speaking directly to anyone chasing a dream I would say that we can expound on this idea even further and consider the hard work and sacrifice that so few people will ever see; the loss and pain that we endure in the defense of our purpose and mission. We need to believe that they too will one day come into the light. That belief is a necessity if one is determined to succeed in any endeavor because adversity is a certainty wherever greatness is sought.
